Heath Ledger interpretará al Joker en The Dark Knight, la próxima película de Batman, secuela de Batman Begins.
El film será dirigido por Christopher Nolan y Christian Bale retomará su papel como Bruce Wayne/Batman. Ningún otro miembro del reparto ha sido confirmado.
The Dark Knight estará escrita por Jonathan Nolan, hermano del director y se basara en un historia de Christopher Nolan y David Goyer. Los productores serán Emma Thomas, Charles Roven y el mismo Christopher Nolan.
